This past Friday, I had the privilege of interviewing Cancer Survivor and Thriver, Tammy McCormick Broussard. It was a great interview. Please take a listen! Here is more about Tammy:
Tammy McCormick Broussard is a native New Orleanian and attended the University of New Orleans. She has a big family and is one of thirteen siblings. The six sisters of her family are very close and call themselves “The Rich Girls of Franklin Avenue,” not for monetary reasons but because they live life rich with love and possibilities. Tammy is a CANCER survivor and thriver, and frequently volunteers her time to great causes. She ran in and won the Stiletto Sprint, a two-block run in high heels benefiting the Breast Center of Ochsner Baptist as part of the Festigals celebration. Tammy is the lead runway instructor for You Night Empowering Events, a six-month empowerment program that helps cancer survivors embrace life beyond cancer. As a model herself, she teaches cancer patients and survivors how to model and work the runway. The classes culminate in a fabulous runway fashion show that not only demonstrates how glamorous these cancer survivors can be, it also gives them the self-confidence they need to conquer the world. Tammy went from being a runway model to being a role model for cancer survivors. Let’s welcome Tammy McCormick Broussard to Breaking Barriers!
Until next week…
Keep Breaking Barriers,
